Journal Advertising

Adverting space in the Journal of the American Musical Instrument Society is available at the following rates:
- Quarter-page $75
- Half-page $115
- Full-page $195
- Two-page $390
- Four-page $700
Ad copy should be camera-ready in distinctive black and white in the following sizes:
- Quarter-page: 2-3/4 inches horizontal by 4-1/8 inches vertical
- Half-page: 4-1/2 inches (114 mm) horizontal by 3-1/2 inches (89 mm) vertical
- Full-page: 4-1/2 inches (114 mm) horizontal by 7-1/8 inches (181 mm) vertical
The Journal cannot print ads in color, copy sent by fax, or ads of incorrect dimensions. Limited design service is available.
Submit ads at size, that is 100% of the space they will display, and submit both the electronic file and hardcopy. Ads should be in Quark Xpress, Photoshop eps or tiff, Adobe Illustrator eps, or Acrobat PDF format (full application version; the free version downloaded from the Internet does not import into Quark). Include both screen and printer versions of fonts. Fonts must be PostScript, not TrueType. Scans must be at 300 dpi for grayscale images and 1200 dpi for line art.
All ads must be paid in advance of publication in U.S. dollars through a U.S. bank. Please make checks payable to the American Musical Instrument Society. Visa and Mastercard charges will also be accepted.
