Small Research Grants for Students
The American Musical Instrument Society is offering two small research grants ($500) for student members to carry out research relating to the study of musical instruments. Awardee will be expected to submit a proposal based on this research to the 2024 AMIS meeting's Program Committee and to write a piece for the AMIS Newsletter.

Student on 1 June

40 years old or under on 1 June
To apply, fill out the application form (including a 300-word research proposal) and submit proof of your student status. Also, ask a referee who is familiar with your research to send a reference directly. Send your application and reference to to Gregg Miner, minermusic@earthlink.net by 1 November 2023 (deadline extended).
Awardees will be announced in December.
