Please see below for information on the Outreach Travel Grant, supporting attendance at the 2020 AMIS Meeting in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Please read further and feel free to forward on to others who may be interested!
The Outreach Travel Grant has been established to support international delegates to attend the Society's meetings. This year's $1000 grant will support Mexican citizens currently residing in Mexico to attend the 2020 Annual Meeting and will provide the successful applicants with financial assistance to cover expenses related to attending the Society’s 2020 annual meeting. We welcome applicants with career interests that relate to the mission of the American Musical Instrument Society. There is no age limit and applicants can also apply to the William E. Gribbon Memorial Fund, if eligible. Preference will be given to a delegate presenting a paper at the conference. This grant will be administered by the Gribbon Committee.

It is the responsibility of the successful applicant to have a valid visa or equivalent that would grant the right to travel to the US. The AMIS is not a USA visa sponsor.

4. A statement of 300 words or less describing the ways in which your career interests relate to the history and/or study of musical instruments (on application coversheet)
5. Curriculum vitae (on application coversheet)
6. If you have submitted (or will submit) a paper proposal, please include a copy of your abstract. Presenting a paper is not a requirement to receive this award, but it is encouraged. The submission process for paper proposals is entirely separate. To submit a paper proposal, please send the relevant materials to the Program Committee Chair by January 15, 2020.
