Nominations sought for 2027 Curt Sachs Award
The Curt Sachs Award committee solicits nominations for the 2027 Award.
This award honors outstanding contributions toward the goals of the Society. The 2027 award will be presented during the AMIS annual meeting hosted by the Biblioteca Fray Francisco de Burgoa in Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico, May 27–31, 2027. Past recipients have included instrument makers, scholars, curators, collectors, conservators, musicians, and others. Nominees need not be AMIS members. Please submit nominations with any supporting documentation to the committee chair, Aurelia Hartenberger, aureliawh@sbcglobal.net, by December 31, 2026. Any nomination received after that date will be saved for consideration in future years. Previous nominations need not be resubmitted, although additional supporting material will be welcomed.
